- Australian construction companies operating in Asia are likely to be affected by cultural differences. As companies contract for overseas work, cultural differences may be a source of problems. The aim of this chapter is to compare and examine the different attitudes adopted by Australian construction companies contracting in international joint ventures in order to determine if cultural awareness acts as a competitive advantage.
